He leaned over her shoulder to look at what she was holding. “What’s going on?” He asked as he walked over to where she was still crouching with the kitten. She felt the box shake slightly as Newt jumped down into it. “Newt? Can you come down here for a minute?” Y/N asked, hoping her could help her decide what she should do with the kitten. You know the box won’t go back down with you in it.” “Hey, Y/N!” Newt called down to her, interrupting her train of thoughts, “What are you still doing down there? Everything has already been taken out. What would happen to this tiny cat if she let it loose in the glade? Would the other gladers like it? If she left it in the box, would the box go back down with the cat in it? Y/N looked down at the little cat in adoration, which was soon replaced by concern.

In doing this, the kitten had solidified its place in Y/N’s heart. The kitten nuzzled into her hands, purring quietly. Reaching forwards, Y/N gently picked up the kitten and brought it closer to her. “Hey little guy,” Y/N said softly, crouching down in front of it, “what are you doing in here?” The kitten looked up at her with what looked like sadness and confusion in its eyes and uncurled itself completely. Uncurling itself slightly, it let out a gentle meow and stared at Y/N with big brown eyes, instantly melting Y/N’s heart. At first, the darkness made it hard to see what was in the corner, but when her eyes adjusted to the light (or lack thereof), her mouth dropped open slightly.Ĭurled up in a ball in the corner of the box was a small kitten with black and white fur. She gently pulled the crate out of the way, and looked into the corner. Frowning slightly, she walked slowly towards the source of the noise. It just so happened that the one to be getting everything out of the box that week was Y/N.Īs she passed the week’s supplies up to Newt, she heard a faint noise coming from behind a crate in the corner. However, one week, the box came up with a surprise for whoever found it.

These supplies are taken by whoever needs them, and the box goes back down. I also hope you’re having a lovely day!’
